During my recent journey along the Camino, I had the opportunity to stay at an albergue that is a true haven for pilgrims. Situated in an ideal location after a long walk from Gernika, the albergue offers a peaceful respite surrounded by nature. The accommodation is exclusively for pilgrims, ensuring a focused and tranquil atmosphere. One of the highlights of my stay was the really good host, whose warm hospitality enhances the experience. She provided valuable assistance, including offering to transport guests to a nearby restaurant for bocadillos. It was convenient to have laundry facilities available for just 5€, adding to the overall practicality of the stay. The cleanliness of the albergue, complemented by separate bathroom facilities for men and women, contributed to a comfortable environment. the modest pricing for refreshments, such as local beers, made unwinding after a day of trekking quite enjoyable. This albergue successfully blends traditional warmth with modern amenities, making it a worthy choice for pilgrims seeking comfort and connection along their journey.
